In addition to offering services for on-location shootings, Japan Film Commission promotes Japan by taking part in various activities.

Japan Film Commission offers several programs to its members, such as:
JFC Qualifying Seminar
An educational program offered to film commissions applying to become a certified member of Japan Film Commission (JFC). Participants spend two days learning about the functions of film commissions and how to utilize locations used for shootings to promote their regions. Those interested in becoming associate members can also attend the program. The seminar includes visiting major film studios.
Skill Up Seminar
An advanced educational program offered to members of Japan Film Commission. Participants must have more than 6 months experience as a member of a regional film commission.
The seminar includes many discussions for sharing and improving film commission operations.
Organizing business matching event (Locations Fair)
